Job Description
- Job Summary
- The Health Information Management (HIM) Technician - Certified is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of patient health records to support coding, reimbursement, physician chart completion, and regulatory compliance.
- Essential Functions
- + Manages chart deficiency workflows, including notifying and assisting providers with incomplete medical records, monitoring deficiencies, and ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
- Qualifications
- + 1-2 years of experience in health information management, medical records, or a healthcare-related clerical role required + Experience with chart deficiency management, EHR systems, and regulatory reporting preferred
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- + Strong understanding of medical record workflows, documentation requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Licenses and Certifications
