JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education High School Graduate Minimum Work Experience 1 year experience in health information management Required Licenses/Certifications Required Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities Ability to carry out obligations and duties of position; Demonstrates interpersonal skills; Requires the ability to handle confidential information; and deals effectively with hospital personnel& duties of position; Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills. Skill sets in regards to answering telephones; balancing figures; inputting data into computer programs; maintaining filing systems; maintaining logs; updating patient charts including documentation and proofreading. Maintains work area according to OSHA and NIOSH standards. Skill sets in regards to equipment including but not limited to calculators; fax machines; laser printer; personal computer; photocopier and word processor. Software mastery to include but not limited to: State of Texas Birth Certificate Registry System; 3M Softmed chart view; Chart Scan; IDX; Allscripts and additional software as needed. Designated Driver No OSHA Category 3 - Low Risk
