Hospital Retail Pharmacy Technician | Fayetteville, Arkansas
Job Description
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract position offers a 13-week opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician working daytime hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM in a behavioral health environment. The role supports medication management and pharmacy operations within a hospital setting, making it ideal for technicians with inpatient or retail pharmacy experience who are licensed in Arkansas.
Key Responsibilities:
Fill medication orders accurately and efficiently Deliver medications to medication rooms and manage stock inventory Receive daily warehouse orders, reconcile invoices, and review/process recalls Assist in medication room audits and provide general support to pharmacistsPreferred Experience and Qualifications:
Pharmacy Technician experience in inpatient or retail settings Familiarity with Omnicell automation systems is a valuable plus; training will be provided for Omnicell installation starting 7/20 Proficiency with Hospital Computer System (HCS) order entry; training available if needed Current Arkansas pharmacy technician license required National certification from PTCB or NHA mandatory This position functions within a pharmacy staff including approximately 1.2 full-time pharmacists and provides a supportive, focused environment for those interested in behavioral health pharmacy practice.
