Patient Care Technician I:
Variable shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on unit need. Refer back to posting on which shift is available. Weekend and holiday shifts are required. This position is based within Jefferson Regional Nursing Departments. Refer back to posting on location.Job Summary:
The Patient Care Technician I plays a critical role in the healthcare team by providing direct patient care to an assigned group of patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse. They will ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, providing compassionate and empathetic care while maintain patient dignity and confidentiality. The PCT will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to support patient treatment and recovery.Patient Care Technician I Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent requiredThis is a Safety Sensitive Position.•Good communication and interpersonal skillsBasic computer skills for the electronic medical recordCompassionate and caring attitude towards patientsAbility to work in a fast paced team orientated environmentCapacity to handle exposure to various clinical environments and potential infectious materials.Have experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
