Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting in various medical procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of healthcare systems. This position is essential for supporting patients in diverse settings, including hospice care, nursing homes, and home community care environments. Responsibilities Conduct routine medical tests and procedures to assist healthcare professionals in diagnosing and treating patients. Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic. Provide direct patient care, ensuring comfort and safety while addressing their needs. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively assist with medical assessments. Support individuals with developmental disabilities by providing compassionate caregiving in various settings. Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and home care practices. Qualifications Proven experience or training in a medical technician role or similar position is preferred. Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, particularly related to patient care in hospice or nursing home settings. Familiarity with electronic health record systems, especially Epic, is highly desirable. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Compassionate approach to caregiving, demonstrating empathy and respect for all patients. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
