Front Reception Position Summary The Temporary Medical Check-In Tech Support provides on-site support to patients during the transition to a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. This role focuses on assisting patients with the check-in process, verifying demographic and insurance information by using Ipad Kiosks, and serving as a friendly, knowledgeable point of contact to ensure a smooth and positive patient experience. Key Responsibilities Assist patients with the check-in process using the new EHR system Guide patients in completing electronic forms, questionnaires, and consent documents Verify and update patient demographic, insurance, and contact information accurately Troubleshoot basic EHR check-in issues and escalate technical problems as needed Educate patients on new workflows, kiosks, tablets, or patient portal features Collaborate with front desk reception to support to maintain efficient patient flow Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies Provide calm, courteous support to patients who may be unfamiliar or uncomfortable with new technology Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proficiency with iPad, Android, or other tablet devices Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable assisting patients with technology in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and remain patient-focused Skills & Competencies Customer service mindset with a friendly, professional demeanor Basic computer and tablet proficiency Problem-solving and adaptability during system transitions Ability to explain technical processes in simple, patient-friendly language Schedule & Duration Temporary position during EHR go-live and stabilization period (6 months to one year) Schedule includes weekdays and occasional evenings, depending on office needs
