Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) -

Full Time Schedule:

72 hours per 2-week pay period | 12-hour Night shift (including weekends)

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in an Acute Care setting. As an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech), you will play a vital role in supporting patient care within the emergency department or urgent care setting. Working under the supervision of nurses and physicians, you will assist with essential clinical and operational tasks to ensure efficient, high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist nurses and physicians with patient care activities and procedures Obtain and document vital signs Perform patient care tasks, including thermal applications, non-sterile soaks, and simple dressings and splints Collect stool and urine specimens Transport patients as needed Provide coverage for unit secretary duties when needed This position is Full Time (72 hours per pay period), 12 hour Varied shift, work schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Position is located at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.
