The Opportunity Independently administer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy as directed by a psychiatrist. Conduct initial patient education about the TMS procedure, answer questions, and address concerns. Set up and calibrate the TMS machine for each treatment session according to the physician's protocol. Monitor patients throughout the session to ensure safety, comfort, and adherence to the treatment plan. Recognize and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions or side effects during treatment. Document treatment details and patient responses in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Maintain accurate and organized records for each TMS session. Communicate patient concerns or treatment issues to the supervising psychiatrist or clinician. Schedule TMS sessions, manage patient appointments, and handle insurance verification if needed. Ensure that the TMS equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and calibrated as required by manufacturer and clinic policies. Assist in preparing treatment rooms and ensuring a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for patients. Assist in daily office management, patient triage, and other administrative duties as needed. Adhere to HIPAA and patient confidentiality regulations. Follow OSHA and clinic safety protocols for infection control and equipment handling. Ensure compliance with applicable state laws and regulations regarding TMS administration. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on TMS advancements and best practices. Required Experience and Competencies High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience as a TMS Technician required. Current or previous TMS Certification or ability to obtain within 2 months of entering this position required. Current BLS/CPR certification required. Previous experience in a mental health setting, such as working with patients who have depression, anxiety, or PTSD preferred. A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Healthcare Administration, Behavioral Health, or a related field preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow treatment protocols. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to ensure patient comfort and understanding. Ability to recognize and respond to patient distress or complications during treatment. Proficiency in computer skills and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR). Ability to work independently while collaborating with clinical staff and psychiatrists. Knowledge of clinical compliance. Ability to follow clinical and operational processes. Ability to follow OSHA and clinic safety protocols for infection control and equipment handling. Ability to comply with applicable state laws and regulations regarding TMS administration. Ability to uphold HIPAA and patient confidentiality regulations. Ability to follow privacy policies regarding PHI and HIPAA.
