Under Pharmacist general supervision, the Pharmacy Technician III- Population Health, will support prescription renewal requests, prior authorizations, patient assistance programs, scheduling and other clinical support activities for UCSD Health.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)Outpatient or Home Infusion:
Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience required. Experience in project management/system responsibility (e.g. Pyxis, narcotic control, QI, or pharmacy buyer/biller/analyst); OR is a Pharmacy School graduate; OR expanded responsibilities over several areas OR possess a Pharmacy Intern License.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Thorough knowledge of pharmacy terminology and calculations. Proficient computer experience and accurate data entry skills. Detail and organizational skills to sort, file and retrieve information. Ability to manage assigned workload within deadlines. Ability to work in a self-directed work team environment and function effectively in a high-volume, multiple demand environment. Have excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing and be able to articulate complex ideas for all levels of audiences. Retail pharmacy experience or clinic support experience for pharmacy workflows. Experience working with electronic health records (EHR). Experience working in ambulatory care setting or working on medication prior authorizations. Clinic support experience for pharmacy workflows. Familiarity with insurance barriers to medications. Experience assisting patients with cost of drugs.SPECIAL CONDITIONS

$73,289- $96,674 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
