Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to provide comprehensive 24-hour live-in care for individuals requiring around-the-clock support. This vital role involves delivering personalized assistance in a home setting, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity for clients with diverse needs. As a live-in caregiver, you will be an integral part of creating a nurturing environment that promotes independence and well-being. Duties Provide continuous supervision and patient observation to ensure safety and respond promptly to changing needs Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Administer medications accurately following medical terminology and home healthcare regulations Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; document medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Support clients with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, hospice care, end-of-life care, and memory care Perform catheter care, wound management, and assist with medical procedures like Hoyer lift transfers or other mobility aids Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable environment Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while managing medical documentation and records Use EMR systems effectively for documentation of patient care activities and medical updates Engage in ongoing training on home health agency standards, CPR/First Aid/Basic Life Support certification renewal, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges Experience Prior experience in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly desirable Proven track record working with geriatric patients or individuals with disabilities in home health or community care settings Familiarity with medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and vital signs monitoring Experience working with individuals who have Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia; knowledge of memory care techniques is a plus Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; experience in long-term care environments preferred Previous live-in employment experience is advantageous but not required; a strong caregiving background in home health agencies is valued Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent communication skills for reporting patient status accurately through medical records or electronic systems Join us in providing exceptional 24-hour live-in care that enriches lives through compassionate support.
