Job Description

, 40 hours per week Progeny HR Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Hospital Medical Technician (ASCP) to join our team at a leading healthcare facility in Bradenton, FL. This is a full-time position with a guaranteed 40 hours per week and offers a competitive salary and benefits package. As a Hospital Medical Technician, you will play a vital role in the delivery of quality patient care by performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of a medical technologist or pathologist. Your responsibilities will include collecting and processing specimens, performing routine and specialized tests, maintaining accurate records, and troubleshooting equipment issues. The ideal candidate will have a valid ASCP certification and at least 1-2 years of experience working as a medical technician in a hospital setting. You must have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. In addition, you must be able to handle a fast-paced and high-stress environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and process laboratory specimens, ensuring accuracy and proper labeling Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests using manual and automated techniques Prepare and maintain reagents and equipment, and troubleshoot any issues that arise Maintain accurate records of test results and patient information Communicate effectively with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate reporting of test results Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results Keep up-to-date with new techniques and procedures in the field of medical technology
Qualifications:
Valid ASCP certification 1-2 years of experience as a medical technician in a hospital setting Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to handle a fast-paced and high-stress environment Knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures Understanding of safety and infection control protocols Willingness to stay current with advancements in medical technology We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing high-quality healthcare to our community.
