Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technician (Med Tech) to join our healthcare team in providing exceptional resident care within senior living, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities. As a Med Tech, you will play a vital role in supporting residents' health and well-being by assisting with daily personal care, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Your expertise will ensure compliance with healthcare regulations while fostering a warm, respectful environment for our residents. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities through compassionate caregiving and clinical support. Duties Assist with medications accurately following prescribed instructions and document all medication records in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to track residents' health status Support residents with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, or memory care programs Maintain detailed medical documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Cerner or similar platforms Ensure safety during manual handling tasks and heavy lifting while adhering to proper techniques and protocols Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans and updates on resident conditions Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals or home care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and senior care practices including dementia and memory care Valid certification from the State Board of Nursing or equivalent licensing for Med Techs or Nursing Assistants Certification in CPR and First Aid is essential; additional training in hospice or Alzheimer's care is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with resident transfers using proper manual handling techniques Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality of patient information Strong communication skills for caregiving tasks and caregiver communication with team members and residents Ability to work effectively with geriatric patients or individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities Join our team to deliver compassionate senior care that enhances quality of life!
