Responsibilities Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a comforting environment during their hospital stay Assist with patient mobility and transfer methods, ensuring safe manual handling practices and adherence to patient safety protocols Support patients with daily activities such as feeding, grooming, and mobility, respecting their dignity and independence Monitor vital signs and observe for any changes in patient condition, promptly reporting concerns to nursing staff Maintain accurate medical documentation and record patient interactions using electronic health records (EHR) systems Follow infection control procedures to uphold care facility standards and prevent the spread of infections Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure clear understanding of care plans and needs Experience Prior inpatient or outpatient experience in hospitals or clinics is highly preferred Experience working in Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers is advantageous Background in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or acute care settings enhances your ability to respond effectively Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (BLS) certification is required Hands-on experience with medical equipment operation and patient transfer methods is desirable Demonstrated ability to work with geriatric patients, pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), or post-acute care environments is a plus Strong communication skills for caregiver interaction and maintaining patient confidentiality are essential Join us as a Patient Companion to be a compassionate advocate for our patients' health journey.
