Job Description

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Radiology Technologist for our Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED). In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging exams, ensuring patient safety, accurate positioning, and proper radiation protection. You will collaborate with emergency physicians and nurses, verify orders, and maintain imaging equipment and documentation. You will support urgent, trauma, and routine exams, explain procedures to patients, and uphold compassionate, patient-centered care while following all regulatory, safety, and quality standards. Responsibilities Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams in an emergency setting Verify physician orders and patient identity, and explain procedures to patients Ensure proper patient positioning, radiation safety, and image quality Collaborate closely with emergency physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff Operate, troubleshoot, and help maintain radiology equipment Document procedures accurately in patient records and imaging systems Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times Support urgent, trauma, and routine imaging needs while prioritizing patient care Required Skills Diagnostic radiography (X-ray) Patient positioning and immobilization Radiation safety and dose optimization Operation of digital imaging systems (CR/DR, PACS) Knowledge of emergency/trauma imaging protocols Infection control and safety compliance Electronic medical record and
RIS/PACS
documentation Venipuncture/contrast administration (if applicable by facility) Equipment troubleshooting and basic maintenance Effective communication with patients and clinical staff
