EMTs will transport patients to and from hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, dialysis appointments, medical appointments, and other healthcare facilities while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Responsibilities
- Provide non-emergency medical transportation to patients.
- Monitor patients during transport and provide basic life support when necessary.
- Safely operate company ambulances and medical transport vehicles.
- Complete patient care reports and transport documentation accurately.
- Inspect and maintain ambulances, equipment, and medical supplies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, patients, and family members.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal EMS regulations and company policies.
- Ensure patient dignity, confidentiality, and exceptional customer service. Qualifications
- Current EMT certification in the State of Georgia.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Ability to lift and move patients and equipment safely.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous non-emergency transport experience is preferred but not required. Requirements
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays if needed.
- Ability to lift up to 125 pounds with assistance.
