Position Summary Under the direction of the licensed staff member, the OR Support Technician gives routine, non-licensed, technical bedside care as a member of the Nursing Team. The OR Support Technician maintains open communication and is available to component organizations and practitioner sites for consultation Education High School Diploma - Preferred Experience 1-2 Years previous cleaning experience - Preferred License & Certification None Required Core Job Functions Available by zone phone/paging system for additional patient care needs. Set up OR room per guidelines for each procedure, with quick turn over times between cases. Uses resources wisely. Eliminates waste. Maintains supply par levels. Areas are kept clean and free of clutter. Case Carts are quickly moved to the case pulling or back-up areas and equipment is returned to appropriate place immediately after use. Assists in room set up. Helps move/transport patients. Assists with patient prepping. Documents daily temperatures. Assures sub-sterile stocked with supplies/blankets. Stocks assigned area. Performs detailed terminal cleaning, case to case cleaning. Maintains department regulatory compliance ready.
