Position Highlights Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.
Responsibilities:
Assist patients and nursing staff in the Infusion Center along with assisting with Telehealth appointments as needed. Participates in the delivery of patient care services by providing direct and indirect care under the supervision of licensed personnel. Assists in meeting patient care needs through coordination of unit communications, management of patient information, and performance of tasks as directed by unit personnel. Promotes an atmosphere of calmness and professionalism to visitors, as well as all health team members, through a courteous, tactful, and discreet approach. Maintains a clean and organized and therapeutic patient environment. Provides transport. Assesses and provides the ongoing physical needs for the patient.
Requirements:
Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems. CNA certification - other healthcare certifications may be considered BLS required or willing to obtain upon hire - Inhouse education available
Schedule:
72 hrs per pay period Typically 8a-4:30p; Mon-Fri Based on patient needs hours may be required on weekends and holidays as needed Schedule may fluctuate based on the needs of the department Spencer Hospital offers competitive wages, affordable insurance, IPERS retirement, in-house education, paid time off, family gym membership and so much more!
