The Patient Care Technician will be responsible for a blend of many duties within the Surgery Center.
Responsibilities include:
Clerical Putting patient charts and discharge instruction packets together Dissembling charts after discharge Data entry Calling physicians' offices for History and Physical Examination information Patient Care Help patients to restrooms. Obtaining vital signs or EKG and reporting results to nursing staff. Under the direction supervision of the nursing staff, obtain blood glucose levels, patient urine HCG and admissions/discharge of patients. Helping with OR room set-up and turnovers. Transporting patients. Housekeeping Stocking rooms daily and checking supplies Assisting the OR with room turnovers and setups. Properly disinfecting stretchers, chairs, bedside tables, and monitors. Changing wall suction containers and/or needle boxes as needed. Remove linen/trash from recovery room and bringing it to the proper receptacle. One year of hands-on medical experience is required-CNA, CMA and EMT's are encouraged to apply.
