Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Med Tech / Care Giver, where your compassionate care and technical expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance, monitor health status, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for individuals with diverse needs. Whether working in assisted living communities, nursing homes, or home care settings, you'll be at the forefront of delivering high-quality patient-centered care that promotes dignity and independence. Responsibilities Assist residents with daily personal care activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to track health status accurately. Administer medications and treatments following prescribed protocols while maintaining meticulous medical documentation. Support residents with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, or memory care to promote safety and well-being. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document patient information securely and efficiently. Follow all state healthcare regulations and HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and transfer assistance, adhering to proper techniques. Respond promptly to emergency situations with first aid or CPR as needed, ensuring resident safety and comfort. Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive resident care plans. Maintain accurate medical records, update resident charts regularly, and ensure compliance with all relevant policies. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or chronic conditions such as Alzheimer's or dementia. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and senior care best practices is essential. Familiarity with medical documentation systems such as Cerner or other EHR/EMR platforms is advantageous. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) are a plus. Experience working with geriatric patients or those requiring hospice or memory care enhances your ability to deliver compassionate support. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks associated with caregiving roles.
