Job Description
Room patients (obtain vitals, medical history, etc.) and enter data into EMR and communicate patient intake information to nurse. Clean and restock rooms, order supplies. Checks medication supplies for outdated medications and destroys according to proper protocol. Preview medical records to assess for care gaps; assist patients as they navigate through different departments of the hospital in the course of care and treatment .

- Effectively communicates with patients and co-workers.
- Provides clerical support and administrative support as directed.
- Interacts with patients and providers.
- Ability to provide cultural competent care with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community setting.
- A high level of decision-making in order to find solutions to technical problems, to explain and enforce procedures.
- Excellent communication skills are needed due to frequent exposure to internal and external customers.
- Strong organizational and detail skills are required to prioritize variety of job tasks and functions.
- Proficiency of electronic systems is required to perform tasks using data and/or ability to learn system with ease.
- Performs related duties as required .
- Follows hospital exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens.
- Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times. Follows HIPAA regulations and policies.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.
- Communicate with patients, families and co-workers in person, in writing and on telephone.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalency
- CNA, EMT or EMTA or ASCP Phlebotomy Certification preferred
- Driver's license preferred
- 1 year experience in health care related field preferred Full time, 40 hours per week, M-F, some Saturdays CVH is EOE
