The 4EA team operates a 32 medical-bed surgical unit, specializing in caring for patients who are admitted for a variety of acute and chronic medical illnesses. This unit specializes in renal patients and is also a step-down ventilator unit that collaborates with respiratory to provide patients with continued care that they need before they can discharge. Patient Care Technician Details Essential Job Duties:

Collaborate with RN staff to assess patients' needs and report concerns. Assist in developing and modifying care plans, prioritize patient problems, and perform medical tasks. Provide patient education, follow policies, respond to emergencies, and act as a patient advocate while respecting rights and confidentiality. Evaluate interventions, maintain professionalism, and seek assistance when needed.

Qualifications:

Basic medical knowledge and patient care procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a healthcare team.

License/Certification:

Candidate must have one of the following:

• Valid Indiana CNA license, or
• Agree to complete the Union Health PCT Training program upon hire.
• Must be certified in healthcare provider BLS upon hire.
