What You Will Do As a Wound & Hyperbaric Care Technician, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to support patients receiving specialized wound and hyperbaric treatments. Your role will help improve patient outcomes and enhance the care experience for patients and families.
• Assist with patient intake activities, including obtaining vital signs, height, weight, and patient history information
• Provide direct patient care and comfort measures according to the patient's plan of care
• Prepare patients and treatment areas for wound and hyperbaric care procedures
• Assist with dressing removal, wound cleansing, dressing application, and negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) procedures under the direction of licensed personnel
• Reinforce patient education related to wound care and hyperbaric therapy
• Monitor patients during treatments and promptly report changes or concerns to licensed staff
• Assist with patient transfers and transportation using appropriate safety techniques
• Maintain accurate patient documentation, treatment records, and charge capture information
• Clean, sterilize, stock, and maintain treatment equipment and supplies
• Support infection prevention, environmental safety, and department cleanliness standards
• Respond effectively during emergency situations and assist as needed

• Previous healthcare experience preferred
• Previous wound care experience preferred

Special Skills, License & Knowledge Requirements Preferred:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification
• Basic EMT Certification
• Military Medic experience
• Nursing Student who has completed fundamental nursing clinicals in an RN program
