Brief Job Duties:

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

+ Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the classroom or special education teacher and assist in drill and practice activities.

+ Participate in required workshops by request of the Building Leader, Supervisor, or Director.

+ Experience working with students with Developmental Delays

+ Perform non-instructional, non-evaluating functions, including suspension of students.

+ Assist in the preparation of instructional materials or provide classroom management functions during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, etc.

Certification/License:

Certification as an Education Technician from the Maine Department of Education (022) Criminal History Record Check ( CHRC ), which includes Fingerprints on file with the

Maine Department of Education Education:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent, plus 3 years of post-secondary education. (60 credits)

Experience:

Successful prior classroom experience or working with students with special needs for the appropriate grade levels is preferred but not required.

Compensation:

Range:

$18.25
