Our services include a state-of-the-art psychiatric urgent care center and a soon-to-be-built pediatric behavioral health center, outpatient, inpatient, partial hospitalization (day programs), assessment and testing, residential, addiction treatment and specialty services such as crisis response, employee assistance programs, forensic psychiatry and psychology, and neuromodulation. On-the-job educational programs for nurses, psychologists, advanced practice providers, psychiatrists, and chaplains are equipping the next generation of care providers. We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Psychiatric Technician to support individuals with mental illness and/or developmental delays in Hospital and Residential settings. This role plays a key part in maintaining a safe, recovery‑focused, and person‑centered environment.
Psychiatric Technician Key Responsibilities:
Provide physical and emotional support to people served in individual and group settings Support safety management, crisis intervention, and de‑escalation Assist with activities of daily living (personal care, hygiene, dressing, etc.) Document progress notes, medication administration (as trained), and incident reports Support treatment plans, programming, and community activities Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment Role‑model professionalism, compassion, and Pine Rest's mission and values
Psychiatric Technician Qualifications:
Minimum of six months post‑high school education in behavioral sciences or related field preferred CNA certification or 1-2 years of college preferred Ability to work with individuals with complex behavioral and mental health needs Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills Valid Michigan driver's license may be required
Psychiatric Technician Additional Details:
