Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Nursing Assistant (L1MA) to join our healthcare team in St peters location. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments. This role requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, patient safety, and effective communication with diverse populations, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those experiencing memory impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease. The L1MA will support our mission to deliver exceptional care while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility support, hygiene, and feeding assistance. Monitor and record vital signs accurately using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications and treatments following prescribed protocols while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Support patients with specialized needs such as tube feeding, catheter care, and medication administration. Document all patient interactions and medical information precisely in medical records. Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition or behavior related to dementia or other cognitive impairments. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with Alzheimer's, memory loss, or disabilities. Maintain a safe environment by following infection control procedures and safety protocols. Assist with medical procedures requiring physiology or anatomy knowledge and ensure compliance with healthcare standards. Qualifications Valid certification as a Licensed Nursing Assistant (L1MA) or equivalent license. Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, hospice, or home care environments preferred. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is highly desirable. Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is a plus. Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation practices, and HIPAA regulations. Ability to perform tasks requiring anatomy and physiology knowledge, including vital signs measurement and catheter care. Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to patient-centered care. Excellent communication skills for working effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining professionalism at all times.
