DESCRIPTION
Performs responsible work in transporting patients of all ages and in rendering basic and advanced life support to a patient population that includes infants through older adults. Requires successful completion of the North Carolina State Emergency Medical Services training program or an equivalent training program.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Requires completion of the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services training program or equivalent training program.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
AEMT- Advanced Emergency Medical Technician certification by the State of North Carolina; must have a valid NC driver's license and a three-year acceptable driving record. Please submit copy of AEMT certification (include out of state certification, if applicable) with application located under Additonal Documents area.
  • Salary is contingent upon the employee working the required scheduled hours per pay period.
  • Pay for attending mandatory continuing education events.
  • We are pleased to announce Assessment 44 is open to accepting applications with hire date of February 1, 2027. Two Assessment Centers are available. The first Assessment Center | Physical Agility Test and Simulation scheduled on October 15th and 16th. The second Assessment Center | Interviews scheduled on October 22nd and 23rd.
  • You must meet the minimum requirements for the position in order for your application to be forwarded to EMS by Human Resources.
