Patient Care Tech Dosher Memorial Hospital - 3.6 Southport, NC Job Details Full-time 3 days ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Job Posting Patient Care Tech - Patient Care Unit / Medical Surgical Unit Full-Time Responsible for assisting Registered Nurses in the care of all patients in the Patient Care Unit. Performs or assists in the completion of all activities of daily living for patients, prepares patients for treatments, diagnostic procedures, and assists interdisciplinary health care providers as needed. Assists in planning, implementing, evaluating, and performing clerical and receptionist duties.
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent Experience as a nurse aide or technician in acute care/hospital setting preferred Nursing Assistant certification in the State of North Carolina preferred Functions of the
Position:
Demonstrate teamwork, peer-to-peer accountability, independent problem solving, critical thinking, time management, and appropriate clinical prioritization Document and practice according to the facility policy, meeting current documentation standards, metric, and quality expectations as detailed by department manager in the delivery of quality care Elevate concerns to charge nurse or nurse manager, as appropriate, reporting problems through the chain of command
