The Unit Clerk/Monitor Tech works under the direction of the Nurse Manager and under the direct supervision of the Manager, Coordinator and the Professional Registered Nurse. The UC/MT performs clerical duties associated with preparing, compiling and maintaining the patient records on a clinical nursing unit; as well as observe the cardiac monitoring system. Monitoring responsibilities include observing for arrhythmias, documenting rhythms, answering alarms and minor equipment upkeep.Schedule :

Experience Preferred. Prefer knowledge/experience with medical terminology, preferred. Communicates verbal information accurately and courteously in accordance with the medical center's policies. Transcribes, communicates and maintains written information accurately and courteously in accordance with the Medical Center's policies. Maintains continuous cardiac monitoring of patients, documents and interprets arrhythmias, wave forms and informs nursing staff of pertinent changes. Annually continues personal development to enhance personal growth. Organizes and performs work effectively and efficiently. Maintains and adjusts schedule to enhance team performance. Demonstrates a daily commitment to the values of the department. Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations in dealing with all members of the team.
