Job Description:
As an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)/ Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) / Paramedic with Southwest Healthcare Bowman Ambulance, you will be responsible for delivering timely, compassionate, and professional pre-hospital emergency care to patients in various emergency settings. You will respond to emergency calls, assess patient conditions, provide critical care, and transport patients to medical facilities as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to emergency calls and provide emergency medical care. Assess patients' medical conditions and determine necessary treatment. Administer basic and advanced life support (depending on your certification level). Safely transport patients to medical facilities, providing continued care during transport. Maintain detailed patient care reports and documentation. Operate emergency medical equipment, including defibrillators, oxygen equipment, and other medical instruments. Communicate effectively with hospital staff and other emergency responders. Ensure that all EMS protocols, safety standards, and legal requirements are adhered to. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with medical protocols and procedures. Weekends and holidays apply
Qualifications:
Current certification as an EMT or Paramedic (depending on the position). Valid North Dakota driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures and equipment. Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
