Job Description

The Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Department of Middlesex College invites applications for part-time, non-credit instructors to teach the following course:
Patient Care Technician Instructor Important:
Please note that a non-credit instructor is not an adjunct position. Successful candidates teach courses in the Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Department.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The ability to teach 20 hours (5 evenings) per week for up to 4 hours per evening in person, which includes but not limited to the following subject areas: Personal hygiene; vital signs; activities of daily living; infection control
Anatomy & Physiology EKG:
Performing and Interpretation Phlebotomy:
Venipuncture and other sampling procedures Patient Safety Preparing student for industry certification as Patient Care Technician, EKG Technician and/or Phlebotomy Technician Psycho/Social considerations of the patient Care Planning/Interdisciplinary Care Hospice Care
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
: High school diploma or equivalent Current registration as a NJ Licensed Registered, a Patient Care Technician, Medical Assistant, or Certified Nursing Assistant Three (3) years of experience working in an in-patient environment Experience in General Nursing Care, EKG, and Phlebotomy Previous experience teaching adult learners Ability to teach in Edison, New Brunswick, or Perth Amboy
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree Experience teaching in higher education
