Job Description

Description Summary:
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, performs all processes that relate to the delivery of direct and assistive quality patient care in the C-section room or delivery room. Is a member of the surgical team and scrubs and assists surgeons as directed. When not assisting with a delivery, the tech will assist with answering call lights and telephones; will pick up meal trays and return them to Nutrition Services; will keep triage room ready for patients, including but not limited to changing linen, cleaning bed space, and emptying trash. The tech will also provide basic patient care by assisting patients to the restroom and by transferring patients to triage, radiology, or patient rooms. The tech will also be responsible for stocking the department with appropriate supplies to pre determined par levels.

Job Requirements:
Education/Skills High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Completion of an O.R.T. program preferred Experience Previous Surgical Tech experience preferred 6 months of experience in medical field preferred Licenses, Registrations, or Certification BLS required
