Night Job Summary:
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs work of routine difficulty and provides care for the multicultural neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. This is accomplished through criteria outlined on the core competency evaluation form. It is also the responsibility of the Patient Care Technician to collect data, provide comfort measures, assist with splinting, enters laboratory and radiology requests into the computer, and completes duties consistent with secretarial duties of the Intensive Care Unit. The Patient Care Technician is responsible for all duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education:
• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Experience:
• A minimum of six (6) months' of healthcare-related experience is required. Required Licensure/Certification(s):
• Current verification in Basic Life Support. (If BLS verification is not current upon hire must be obtained within three (3) months of hire). Apply Now
