• 11:30 PM SUMMARY As a Materials Handling Tech I, your key role is to organize, track and deliver supplies that are vital to the success of the hospital.

Ensuring that each room and floor is stocked and prepared for the next patient at all times, is an essential practice throughout the system.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supply & Distribution. Ensure all necessary forms are completed; ensure all materials are stocked to the appropriate level per exchange cart; report all inventory discrepancies to Buyer/Planner, Supervisors and/or Materials Manager; inventory and maintain medical equipment supply levels Management of Receivables. Ensure materials are kept in their proper location; review package slips and verify incoming materials Messenger Services. Fill miscellaneous orders from departments; transport materials to designated areas with documentation; ensure all incoming materials are signed for by the department

Employees must demonstrate strong motor coordination, balance, and spatial awareness to safely operate tools and equipment. High visual and auditory alertness is required, especially in areas with moving machinery. Emotional demands are moderate, focusing on hazard recognition, task accuracy, and adherence to safety standards. Environmental exposures may include extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, loud noise, and mechanical hazards. Personal protective equipment (PPE) and periodic physical examinations are often required.
