Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare teams Administer medications following prescribed care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Support residents during community outings or activities that promote social engagement and independence Document care activities accurately in resident records and assist in developing or updating personalized care plans Qualifications Valid AMAP certification with active certification in CPR and First Aid Demonstrated experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Ability to lift heavy objects safely and operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts effectively Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of patient information Excellent communication skills and compassionate approach to caregiving Prior experience working with seniors or individuals requiring memory care is highly desirable Join us as an AMAP Certified DSP and be part of a team that truly values your dedication!
