Patient Care Technician / Acute Care / Part Time /Nights Patient Care Technician (PCT) is to provide safe, compassionate, and efficient support to patients and the healthcare team by assisting with direct patient care, monitoring, and daily operational tasks under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. The role is essential in promoting patient comfort, safety, and dignity while ensuring a clean, organized, and responsive care environment. Patient Care Technician is an onsite position. Essential Functions Provide direct patient care by performing activities of daily living, vital signs, point of care testing, skin care and assist with cardiac monitoring under the supervision of licensed staff. Document and communicate effectively by accurately recording care and observations in the clinical system and relaying patient information to the healthcare team in a timely manner. Performs clerical/secretarial functions (e.g. answering the phone, arranging external transport, patient record preparation/assembly, filing, entering charges, contacting physicians, maintaining logs, scheduling tests and requests for services from other departments). Train and support new staff, demonstrating professionalism, and adapting to changing unit needs. Prepare, prevent, protect and respond to support our culture of safety. Works hours per week in accordance with offer letter or per attributes of position at transfer request. May be expected to work longer hours as necessary. Other duties as assigned.
