Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant to support our healthcare providers with patient care and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for healthcare, excellent communication skills, hardworking, honest, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will play a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and providing exceptional patient care.Key Responsibilities:
Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary medical instruments and supplies are ready Record patient history, vital signs, and other relevant health information Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers Assist with patient scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative paperwork Check patients in and out using Next-Gen Electronic Health Record Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on treatments, medications, and ongoing care needs Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical instruments and work areas Support laboratory functions, including specimen collection and basic tests (e.g., EKG, phlebotomy) Answer phones and support patient flow process with check-ins and collection of data.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA) preferred Previous experience in a PCP setting preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain a high level of attention to detail Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems Experience with Next-Gen Electronic Health Record CPR certification is a plus Ethical standards of Honesty and Integrity are a mustCompensation and Benefits:
