This full-time and part-time position, scheduled from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, offers an energetic environment where your skills in patient care, medication administration, and medical documentation are vital. As a Med Tech, you will work closely with nursing staff to provide high-quality care, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity for our residents. Your expertise in geriatric and memory care, along with your knowledge of healthcare regulations and medical procedures, will help create a warm, supportive community for those we serve. Responsibilities Assist residents with personal care needs, including bathing, grooming, mobility support, and hygiene routines Administer medications accurately following physician orders and facility protocols while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality standards Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to assess residents' health status Document all medical information precisely using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Cerner or similar platforms Support residents with specialized care requirements such as tube feeding, catheter care, dementia or Alzheimer's care, and hospice needs Follow safety procedures for manual handling and heavy lifting to prevent injury during resident transfers or equipment use Communicate effectively with team members about resident conditions, changes in health status, and care plans to ensure seamless coordination Comply with state healthcare regulations and maintain accurate medical records in accordance with legal standards Experience Candidates should bring proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments. Prior exposure to senior living settings or memory/dementia care is highly valued. Essential skills include familiarity with medical terminology, physiology and anatomy knowledge, medication administration techniques, and medical documentation practices. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities enhances your ability to deliver personalized care. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), HIPAA compliance training, or hospice care experience are advantageous. A strong understanding of EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or comparable platforms is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate excellent caregiver communication skills and the ability to perform tasks involving heavy lifting safely while adhering to all safety guidelines.
