Duties and Responsibilities:
(Including, but not limited to) Maintain knowledge of the overall health status of consumers in the assigned program. Maintain knowledge of informed consent and Human Rights Committee procedures and assist the Supervisor with preparation of required documentation. Maintain knowledge of healthcare procedures as outlined in the CTH/ICF Medical Procedures Manuals. Follow medication assistance procedures, including full assistance with medications and proper documentation on Medication Administration Records (CTH II and ICF). Assist with consumer self-administration of medication procedures and participate in assessments for self-administration. Participate in psychotropic drug reviews as deemed appropriate by the Supervisor, including assistance with preparation of required documentation. Assist with obtaining vital signs, including weight, height, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration on a monthly basis or as directed by the Supervisor. Assist with scheduling medical appointments as directed by the Supervisor. Transport and accompany consumers to healthcare and personal needs appointments. Obtain and maintain all required paperwork for healthcare and personal needs appointments. File, record, and follow-up of healthcare information. Run errands such as pharmacy pickups and delivery of paperwork to physicians' offices. Perform monthly medication cabinet inspections. Provide routine monitoring and cleaning of adaptive equipment (e.g., eyeglasses, hearing aids, wheelchairs). Perform routine nail care monthly or as specified. Consumers with diabetes must receive nail care from a nurse and/or podiatrist. Perform duties of Direct Support Staff when consumers are in their care, as requested. Perform clerical duties as assigned by the Supervisor. File all facility records and maintain the file room in an orderly and accessible manner. Attend in-service training and meetings as required. Must possess, or be willing to obtain, Med Tech Certification Must have basic computer skills and the ability to navigate the Therap system. Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
