Duties Respond swiftly to emergency calls, providing immediate medical attention and stabilization for patients of all ages. Operate emergency vehicles safely through city streets and challenging terrain to reach incident sites promptly. Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and trauma evaluations. Manage airway obstructions and assist with airway management techniques to ensure proper breathing. Administer basic life support (BLS), medications, injections, and intravenous (IV) therapy as authorized and trained. Assist with trauma care procedures such as hemorrhage control, immobilization, and neonatal resuscitation when necessary. Document detailed patient care reports accurately and communicate effectively with hospital staff and incident command teams. Skills Proven experience in emergency medicine or critical care environments such as hospital or trauma centers. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and trauma medicine principles. Skilled in patient transport, incident command protocols, and cardiovascular emergency response. Proficient in the operation of medical equipment including DME (Durable Medical Equipment) and venipuncture tools. Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to perform physical examinations under pressure. Familiarity with pediatric emergency care, neonatal resuscitation procedures, and urgent care protocols. Ability to navigate city streets efficiently while maintaining safety standards during urgent responses. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, driving emergency vehicles, and performing physically demanding tasks.
