Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and attentive Emergency Medical Technician to provide critical pre-hospital care and transportation to patients in emergency situations. The EMT will be responsible for assessing patients, delivering immediate medical assistance, and ensuring safe transport to healthcare facilities. This role requires strong communication skills, quick decision-making, and the ability to operate effectively in high-pressure environments. The position involves navigating city streets efficiently to reach patients promptly and accurately evaluating their condition to determine appropriate care. Responsibilities Respond promptly to none and emergency calls and dispatch requests within designated shifts. Navigate city streets efficiently to reach patients in various locations. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses. Provide basic life support, including CPR, wound care, and stabilization of patients. Operate emergency medical equipment and assist with necessary procedures. Safely transport patients to medical facilities while monitoring their condition en route. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare providers, and patients' families. Maintain cleanliness and readiness of emergency vehicles and equipment. Complete detailed reports on patient care and treatment provided during each shift. Requirements Valid Emergency Medical Technician certification or license as required by local regulations. Proven experience in emergency medical services or related fields is preferred. Ability to perform patient assessment accurately and deliver appropriate care. Strong knowledge of city street navigation for timely response. Excellent communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
