Every weekend is required Responsibilities Set up and monitor polysomnography equipment, apply electrodes, and calibrate sensors for accurate data collection. Monitor patients throughout sleep, manage data acquisition, and troubleshoot equipment as needed. Score sleep studies following standard scoring rules, review data for completeness, and escalate issues to the clinical team. Provide patient education, assist with mask fittings, and ensure patient comfort and safety during monitoring. Document events and activities in the patient record and collaborate with the sleep team using Epic for charting and data entry. Maintain infection control practices, equipment cleaning protocols, and adhere to facility policies; participate in continuous quality improvement where applicable. Requirements Current license/credential on file at time of submission. BLS certification is required.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of polysomnography experience; 3-5 years highly preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate degree acceptable in a science field or completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sleep Technology Program. Epic experience within the past 2 years is required.
Travel status:
Prior travel experience not required but preferred.
Shift and schedule:
Ability to work 7pm-7am shifts; weekends required; no block scheduling.
Environment:
Ability to work effectively in a hospital sleep laboratory setting; no float assignments.
Transportation:
Reliable transportation required; local transit is not available; personal vehicle or rental preferred; vehicles should have all-season or snow tires November-April.
