Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The Medical Technician will be responsible for administering medication, performing various medical procedures, and working closely with nursing staff to ensure patient comfort and safety. Duties:

• Administer medication and injections as prescribed by physicians
• Perform catheter care and maintain patient hygiene
• Assist with tube feeding and other feeding procedures
• Conduct vital signs and monitor patient physiological responses
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Perform routine medical tests and procedures
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
• Collaborate with nursing staff to develop individualized care plans
• Maintain a clean and organized medical office
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families
• Support memory care and nursing home patients with a focus on dignity and respect
• Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional care to patients of all backgrounds

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a medical technician program or equivalent training
• Current certification as a Medical Technician or CMA (Certified Medical Assistant)
• Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting
• Familiarity with medical procedures and equipment
• Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and move equipment as needed
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Certification in catheter care or a related field is preferred
• Experience working in memory care or nursing home settings is preferred
• Certification as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) is preferred
• Bilingual or multilingual skills are an asset
