Emergency Medical Technician

Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated emergency response team as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), where you will play a vital role in delivering prompt, professional, and compassionate pre-hospital care. You will respond quickly to emergency calls, assess patient conditions, and provide life-saving interventions in diverse environments. Duties Respond rapidly to emergency calls across our village and town providing immediate medical attention. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories. Perform advanced airway management techniques and administer medications or injections as authorized by protocols. Operate emergency vehicles safely under high-pressure conditions while navigating complex traffic environments. Manage trauma and critical care situations, including Level I and Level II trauma center protocols, cardiovascular emergencies, pediatric emergencies, and neonatal resuscitation procedures. Maintain clear documentation of patient condition, treatments administered, and incident reports following aseptic techniques and medical terminology standards. Skills Proven experience in emergency medicine with critical care transport or hospital backgrounds preferred. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, trauma medicine, and trauma care procedures. Skilled in triage, incident command, patient assessment, and vital signs monitoring. Expertise in airway management, cardiovascular emergency response, medication administration, and injection techniques. Ability to operate emergency vehicles confidently while navigating city streets efficiently; heavy lifting capability required for patient transport. Excellent communication skills for effective patient care delivery and collaboration with healthcare teams; experience with pediatric emergency care is a plus. Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
