Duties Assist residents with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support while maintaining dignity and respect. Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication administration in medical records systems. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report any abnormalities promptly. Support residents with specialized needs such as tube feeding, catheter care, and dementia or Alzheimer's care using best practices. Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Cerner or similar platforms. Ensure safety during manual handling tasks and heavy lifting by following proper techniques to prevent injury. Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and families to coordinate care plans and address individual needs in accordance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare standards. Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and senior care best practices. Certification in CPR and First Aid; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) are a plus. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or comparable platforms for accurate medical documentation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks required for resident mobility assistance. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Valid licensure or certification from the State Board of Nursing or relevant healthcare authority where applicable. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Excellent communication skills for caregiving tasks and caregiver-patient interactions while adhering to state healthcare regulations.
