You will support Vitalant's life-saving mission by managing the inventory of blood and blood products and facilitate the packaging and shipment to local hospitals and patients. Mon- Fri 1:00pm - 6:00pm Part-Time Hours + On-Call Rotation 1 week per month

Hospital Distribution Technician:

Receive, prepare, and ship routing, ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products, conducting a visual inspection of each product prior to shipment to ensure order accuracy. During On-Call hours, you might get called to fulfill a STAT or ASAP order that a hospital needs for a patient, and then you would contact the courier to transport the blood to the hospital. Communicate with hospital customers regarding order fulfilment, turnaround times, and product availability. Use a great attention-to-detail when processing orders, entering inventory as well as entering data for orders to be shipped and/or received. Maintain accurate hospital service records for transactions and process fees. Monitor all storage requirements, service equipment and vehicle work areas. Presently, this role does not drive - That could change in the near future and if needed to make a blood delivery you may need to drive to local hospitals. High School diploma or GED required Valid in-state driver's license Six months of customer service experience required Prior healthcare industry experience preferred Able to lift 40lbs #
