Patient Access Supervisor
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES
An exempt position. Responsible for directing and supervising all Call Center, Health Information Services, and Scheduling activities, in all departments where services are furnished by the physicians/providers of Alaska Heart Institute. Ensures accurate check-in processes and the collection of patient balances.
SUPERVISON RECEIVED
Reports to Patient Access Manager
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
(This list may not include all the duties assigned.) Ensures all departmental policies, procedures, and goals are being met daily. Assess operational needs, develop departmental objectives, and organize the workflows of each department, to ensure maximal productivity and efficiency. Responsible for managing the human resources of all departmental staff. Hires, orients, evaluates annual performance goals and objectives, recommends merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions for supervised staff. Provide timely departmental updates, regarding all functions above, to the direct Manager. Ensures all key individual and departmental performance metrics are achieved. Adheres to organizational policy with particular attention to standards of conduct and to confidentiality as it relates to HIPAA. Performs other tasks as instructed by Manager. Qualifications
EDUCATION
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree is related field
EXPERIENCE
Preferred:
Prefer two or more years of supervisory experience in healthcare.
