Job Description

Overview:

Responsibilities:
Become proficient In troubleshooting the equipment necessary for on-site education and Tele health. Coordinate and facilitate telehealth activities at the clinical sites. Develop, implement, and maintain a training regimen for Incoming students, faculty, and staff, In conjunction with UAMS Telehealth, CSHI, and PCP Committee. Become a resource In the delivery of care via Tele-medicine. Develop a working knowledge of the medical education process. Coordinate all Medical Student activities at the assigned site with clinic and staff schedules and manage and maintain records of students' specific training activities and time spent with providers. Coordinate Faculty development activities at site. Manage on-site faculty participation in educational activities and ensure benchmarks are met for on-site faculty fellows receiving CEUs. Assess current delivery methods for on-site faculty development activities and assist project manager and PCP Committee In troubleshooting and Improving content delivery. Troubleshoot any problems with the equipment used to deliver on-site education and Telehealth. Facilitate interdisciplinary care delivery. also acting as a resource to Improve overall quality of care for the patient population at each site. Coordinate the multidisciplinary care team activities. Collaborate with Project Manager and Grant Pl to develop, track, and coordinate evaluation activities, and the workforce needs of the quality Improvement workforce at the site. Assist with other site specific needs to facilitate the goals of the grant In tandem with the needs of the site which may Include scheduling, bookkeeping. rooming etc. Manage all grant-related activities at the site level as directed by Project Manager and overall PCP Site Coordinator and provide site updates weekly by attending weekly coordinator meeting or additionally as required. Serve as point person at the clinical site for PCPS student space renovation projects as outlined In Supplement 1: Partnering to Prepare Primary Care Champions and furnishing of the Improved student space as outlined In the parent grant carryover request. As such, Site Coordinators must have knowledge of budget documents, allowed costs, site work-flow, etc. They will also serve as a liaison between the Project Manger and site staff for the project and ensure student experiences on site are not disrupted throughout the renovation process. Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards Regular and prompt attendance Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required Related duties as assigned
Additional Information:
Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama. Required Directly related experience in a healthcare setting is preferred and will substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required education. Preferred Front desk experience in a medical/health office Preferred Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA Certified Medical Assistant Preferred Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Multilingual skills preferred.
