CLINIC COORDINATOR
(HUNTSVILLE, AL) - (T235604) The Clinic Coordinator is responsible for supervising the clinical staff, currently consisting of 8 Medical Assistants, that support a busy primary care clinic that serves patients through the continuum of life. Supervises daily clinic activities and work assignments. Assists in development and implementation of clinic policies and procedures. Monitors and maintains schedules, records, equipment and supply inventories. Assists with clinical procedures as required. Assists in planning and implementing educational activities. Trains, certifies and assists staff and students in clinical procedures. Answers questions, evaluates employees and ensures procedures are performed according to established protocols. Oversees billing and collection activities. Processes routine financial transactions and resolves concerns related to patient accounts. Responds to the needs of all patients ages newborn through geriatric.
Salary Range:
$17.00 - $27.00 LOCATED
ONSITE IN HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare, nursing or a related field. Medical assistant experience
Hard Skills:
Knowledge of patient care procedures and protocols; Experience working with an electronic medical records system (EMR)
Soft Skills:
Attention to detail; strong organizational skills; ability to multitask and prioritize assignments; strong customer service skills; patient-centered mindset.
Preferred candidate:
Healthcare professional with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience who is willing to learn and become proficient in Medical Assistant clinical workflows. Direct Medical Assistant experience is preferred but not required if the candidate demonstrates strong leadership, communication, organizational, and staff-development skills.
