Overview:

Reports to the Director of Surgical Services. Functions in collaboration with other OR specialty coordinators to coordinate/facilitate education, communication, quality/performance improvement, and department survey readiness (TJC and CMS). Demonstrates through behavior Helen Keller Hospital's mission, vision and values as outlined in this document, Employee Handbook and the Power of Excellence.

Qualifications:

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required Education:

Current Alabama RN license or a current RN multi-state license

Experience:

Extensive perioperative experience. Demonstrates leadership ability. Management experience desirable. Teaching ability strongly preferred.

Additional Skills/Abilities:

BCLS required (must be completed within the Orientation Period). BCLS instructor preferred, ACLS preferred, CNOR preferred, demonstrated ability to lead and work within a team, demonstrated ability to manage projects, excellent oral and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft office applications as well as the facilities systems.
