ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This class specification lists the major duties and requirements of the job and is not all-inclusive. As with all positions at the Sahuarita Food Bank & Community Resource Center (SFB-CRC), we all work together to meet and exceed the organization's objectives. Program Coordination Develop, maintain, and manage class schedules for multiple program locations. Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with community partners and potential host sites for future classes. Coordinate with facilitators to schedule classes and ensure adequate program coverage. Update and maintain program calendars, including Google Calendar events and facilitator invitations. Send reminders and communications to facilitators regarding upcoming classes and program activities. Create and distribute printed program calendars detailing class topics and schedules for each location. Communicate with partners about scheduling including Pima County Health Department and Community Health Workers. Communicate with participants through email, phone or WhatsApp depending on preference of students. Community Outreach and Recruitment Represent the organization at community events, health fairs, and outreach activities. Recruit participants and promote program offerings within the community. Develop relationships with local organizations and stakeholders to expand program reach and impact. Create flyers, promotional materials, and other marketing resources to support participant recruitment. Program Administration Track participant attendance and maintain accurate program records. Administer pre-program and post-program surveys and compile related data. Update spreadsheets and databases with attendance, survey, and program information. Collaborate with accounting and administrative staff to purchase program supplies and materials. Educational Materials and Program Preparation Assemble participant binders, educational packets, and program materials. Prepare gift bags and participant incentives. Print recipes, handouts, and other educational resources for classes. Create and customize presentations to meet the needs of specific audiences and locations. Develop recognition gifts for volunteer facilitators. Class Facilitation Facilitate cooking demonstration classes and nutrition education sessions. Deliver engaging and interactive educational content to participants. Adapt existing curriculum and presentations to meet the unique needs of various communities and program locations. Ensure classes are conducted in accordance with organizational standards and program objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below represent knowledge, skill, and ability. Required High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred in public health, nutrition, education, communications, or a related field. Experience coordinating programs, events, or community outreach activities. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Google Workspace, Canva, and spreadsheet management. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between program locations including to Tucson. Preferred Experience facilitating educational programs or community classes. Knowledge of nutrition, health education, or community wellness programming. Experience creating presentations, marketing materials, and outreach content. Experience working with volunteers and community partners. Fluent in Spanish and English
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
Valid Arizona Operator License (Class D) Candidate will have to undergo a pre-employment drug test and background check successfully Candidate will be required to clear a fingerprint background check successfully Candidate will be required to maintain CPR Certification. Arizona Food Handler Card

This position works in a variety of settings including community centers, schools, partner locations, health fairs, and office environments. Some evening and occasional weekend work may be required to support program activities and community outreach efforts. Ability to lift and transport program supplies and materials up to 25 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods while facilitating classes and attending outreach events. Ability to travel regularly to program sites and community events. Full-time Salary:
$41,600.00 per year Benefits PTO with incremental increases depending on years of service and annual sick pay.
